Is Trump the Beginning of the End?

Print This Page

For centuries, Bible students have tried to identify the prophesied “man of lawlessness” (also called the “man of sin” or “Antichrist”)—the figure who would usher in a season of global turmoil and rebellion, only to be overthrown by the returning Jesus. In the Book of 2 Thessalonians, the Apostle Paul warns believers of a future leader “who opposes and exalts himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped,” seating himself in a place of power as though he were divine (2 Thess. 2:4).

Could Donald Trump’s second presidency mark the emergence of this man of lawlessness? Some have begun asking this question in light of Trump’s unprecedented and polarizing return to office, his radical reshaping of American institutions, and his ongoing legal/political vendettas. Below is a purely speculative outline of how events might unfold to fulfill one end-times scenario—one in which the next seven years form a final countdown, culminating in the second coming of Christ exactly 2,000 years after His crucifixion in AD 33.

1. The Beginning of the End (Year 1 of Trump’s Return)

Trump’s re-inauguration marks an immediate escalation of tensions both domestically and worldwide. His vow to purge government agencies of “deep state” elements and systematically dismantle checks and balances suggests that he no longer feels bound by constitutional constraints or the norms of democracy.

Why this is significant:

  • Lawlessness in High Office: 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8 implies the “mystery of lawlessness” will intensify until the man of lawlessness is fully revealed. Trump’s brazen approach—treating judicial orders and congressional oversight with contempt—could be seen as an embodiment of that lawlessness.
  • Manipulation of Faith: In an effort to maintain evangelical Christian support, Trump may speak grandly of God’s favor while exalting himself above any spiritual accountability. This paradox underscores the deceptive mix of piety and pride many expect from an Antichrist figure.

2. Setting the Global Stage (Year 2)

Throughout the second year, Trump makes bold foreign policy moves, specifically in the Middle East. He forges alliances and claims to broker “historic deals,” but often demands recognition of his unmatched negotiating prowess. At the same time, he is rumored to be orchestrating conflicts behind the scenes to heighten his standing as a “peacemaker.”

Prophetic Implications:

  • Daniel’s 7-Year Covenant: Daniel 9:27 speaks of a strong covenant made or enforced by a ruler for one “week” (commonly interpreted as seven years). Some interpret this as a peace deal involving Israel. If Trump finalizes a sweeping agreement or imposes a plan that temporarily subdues hostilities in the region, it could launch the clock on the prophesied 7-year timeline.
  • Israel’s Central Role: Prophecy watchers have long argued the Middle East is the epicenter of end-time events. Trump’s renewed efforts to “solve” the Israeli-Palestinian conflict—or to forcibly rearrange territories—might serve as the catalyst that aligns with key biblical markers.

3. Ascendancy and Dominion (Mid-Point of His Term)

By Year 3 to 3.5, Trump’s presidency has consolidated power to an alarming degree. Legal and bureaucratic frameworks that once restricted the executive branch have been dismantled or subdued. In the international arena, he wields outsized influence, often bypassing the United Nations and other global bodies.

Possible Fulfillment:

  • The Man of Lawlessness “Exalts Himself”: 2 Thessalonians 2:4 describes him as elevating himself above every other form of authority or worship. Trump’s characteristic bombast, combined with an emboldened disregard for international norms, could be seen as him crossing that line—especially if he claims near-divine authority or merges faith-based language with adulation of himself.
  • Creation of a “Beast System”: Revelation 13 references an economic and political system that enforces compliance (often called the “mark of the beast”). Should Trump enforce technology-driven loyalty checks—digital IDs, currency controls, or unyielding loyalty pledges—some might interpret this as fulfilling that prophecy.

4. A 3.5-Year Flashpoint: The Refusal to Relinquish Power

Speculation intensifies that, near the legal end of his term (around 3.5 years in), Trump will orchestrate a crisis enabling him to remain in office indefinitely. Rumors circulate of an “emergency” or “continuity of government” scenario that nullifies upcoming elections. Opponents cry foul, but key government structures and law enforcement agencies have been stacked with Trump loyalists.

Why 3.5 Years?

  • In Daniel 7:25 and Revelation 13:5, we see references to 42 months (3.5 years) of a specific oppressive rule. Many prophecy interpreters see this period as the “Great Tribulation,” where the Antichrist’s true nature is revealed.
  • If Trump effectively dissolves the possibility of a peaceful transition, this watershed moment would confirm for many that he has become the tyrant Scripture foretold.

5. Global Turmoil and Religious Persecution (Final 3.5 Years)

From that pivotal moment onward, persecution ramps up for anyone resisting the administration’s edicts. Independent media is shut down, and the faithful—especially those who refuse to bend religious teachings to champion Trump’s supremacy—are targeted. Trump’s administration might equate loyalty to him with patriotism, even with faith, punishing dissenters severely.

Biblical Parallels:

  • The Great Tribulation: Revelation 7:14 and Matthew 24:21 point to an intense period of suffering. Under Trump’s iron grip, global alliances shift, wars intensify, and resource scarcity leads to catastrophic conflicts.
  • Signs in Nature: Some interpret increased natural disasters, pandemics, or cosmic signs as accompanying (or symbolizing) God’s judgment on a rebellious world.

6. Precisely 2,000 Years Since AD 33?

One speculative element is the idea that Jesus was crucified in AD 33—thus making AD 2033 an exact 2,000-year anniversary of His death (and, by extension, resurrection). If the 7-year Tribulation began upon Trump’s inauguration in early 2025 (or thereabouts), it could align with Christ’s return around AD 2032–2033.

Prophetic Fulfillment:

  • The second coming of Christ could then coincide exactly with the two-millennial anniversary of the crucifixion. This synergy of dates tantalizes prophecy buffs, who argue God uses precise time intervals in biblical history (e.g., the 70 years of exile, the 490 years leading up to Messiah in Daniel, etc.).
  • As events spiral deeper into crisis, believers would watch eagerly for “the sign of the Son of Man” (Matthew 24:30), convinced that the clock is set for an AD 2032 or AD 2033 return.

7. The Climactic End: Armageddon and Christ’s Defeat of Evil

The final months of these hypothetical seven years see unbridled chaos. Nations around the globe unite against the chaos or ally with the Trump regime out of fear or opportunism. Prophecy watchers recall Revelation 16:16, which describes a battle at Armageddon in the Middle East.

The Second Coming:

  • Suddenly and dramatically, Jesus appears “on the clouds with power and great glory” (Matthew 24:30). The “man of lawlessness” is destroyed by the brightness of His coming (2 Thessalonians 2:8).
  • No matter how totalitarian or unstoppable Trump’s power appears, the biblical narrative holds that Christ returns victorious. Satan, the Antichrist, and all who stand against God are vanquished at last (Revelation 19:19-21).

Final Reflection

This imagined scenario places Donald Trump at the center of biblical end-times prophecy, painting him as the figure who triggers the final countdown. The timeline suggests an explosive clash between ultimate lawlessness and divine justice. By the close of these seven years—right around AD 2032 or AD 2033—Jesus returns to judge the living and the dead, establishing His millennial kingdom of peace and righteousness.

While few Christians agree on every detail of prophecy, one of the core teachings across many denominations is that history is racing toward a divine climax. Whether or not Trump is the “man of lawlessness” or if the 2,000-year anniversary of the crucifixion will be the final marker remains purely speculative. What is sure, from a biblical perspective, is that God’s sovereignty will prevail, and that no human leader—however influential—can thwart the ultimate plan prophesied in Scripture.

I also believe we are living in the age of this prophecy. Trump along with Musk fits the description.

    • Yep, even though musk seems to have fallen out of the picture, would say he is still a prime candidate for the second beast of revelation, and bet trump is still working with him behind the scenes. Even though, the american popester could still have an outside chance…

I’ve never validated any previous religious leaders and/or cults of claims on this, “date”, the world is going to end, and Christ will return. Many people have died believing that statement. Throughout my lifetime, it has been predicted many times. Ever since Trump was elected, each day seems to be headed in a terrible direction. The country is highly divided and hatred is spreading like wildfire. He has made claims that he is the Messiah, he is delusional and is only out to save himself, his wealth, and power. I have been having deep concerns that Trump may be the antichrist. How he acts, the words that he says, one moment he is not caring of American citizens, the next, he states, he didn’t mean it. Many people compare him to Hitler. Hitler’s power drove him to kill over 12 million people, without a thought. I truly believe Trump will do the same thing, even in this day and age. His power corrupts him. I know there is no way for the person reading this to say “Yes, he is the antichrist, prepare for Christ’s return”. I know, as a child of God, whatever happens, I will be with Him in the end. Yet, I am very afraid of the time between now and then, for me, for my family, for my friends, and for the 8 billion people on the planet. Thank you for taking the time to read.

    • Your are not alone with your thoughts. Trumps greed, lies and corruption is rotten to the core.
Lets not forget the attempted assasination attempt were he was wounded then he proclaimed that he`s been sent from God. The Trump Bibles that were sold at cost. The grabber of women genitals. He proclaimed that he is the protector of women yet covers for Pedofiles. He truly is shameless In every possible way. Trump is the exact opposite of God and love.

I believe that Trump is The AntiChrist. Is it wrong to cut Trumpers from my life? They act like zombies. Cannot get through to them. They believe everything Trump says, and nothing that anyone else says. Trumpers scare me. Does anyone else feel like I do???

Trump is not the anti-Christ. Obama would make a much better anti-Christ. If Trump was not God’s choice for President, than the Biblical prophet Kim Clement would not have prophecies in 2007 and 2014 and others about Trump being “His David” and Trump will be a trumpet. I will left up the Trump to be a Trumpet.

Daniel 9:27 Covenant of Many (UN Pact of the Future) was approved on September 22, 23, 2024) exactly 7 years after the Revelation 12:1-2 sign in 2017 on Feast of Trumpets. It was strengthened in October to December of 2024. For 7 years, we have been in 7 years of plenty of Joseph’s dream. Beginning on October 2,3, 2024, we went into the 7 years of famine on Feast of Trumpets with the 7 year tribulation in this Jubilee year of 2024/2025. The 70th Jubilee year began on the Day of Atonement on October 12/13, 2024. The 70th Jubilee is from the counting of the Jubilee beginning in 1406 BC.

I love this clear and detailed explanation, but what baffles me the most is the part of Matthew 24 that says “No one knows the hour and time of his return, not even the angels or the son but the father”

God please help your remnants living in this last days and make us rapturable on the day of your coming, Amen

Absolutely I believe Trump is bringing about the end of life as we know it. I believe he is the anti christ. I think his name suggests it. I told my therapist this and she increased my medication and said my mental illness was worsening. I’m not sure why only some people see it, the Bible says the anti Christ will deceive the people. Maybe some people see it because God loves us and wants us to see the truth. I also told my therapist this and she suggested I should increase my therapy schedule…why? So therapist can talk me out of believing in God. All I know is the Bible says endure until the end because if we refuse the mark will be punished. I will endure until the end.

Christians believe there are no mistakes with God, so what is God telling them about Trump, who was born on a Blood Moon, whose family purchased 666 Fifth Avenue (a street symbolic of Money/Mammon), and who inherited a vast criminal fortune made via brothels, from a relative who died on 6-6-66 with a name that literally means “Vow for Christ to be Trumped”?

The last-named antichrist lived and ruled in 1930s Germany and look how that ended up. Lots of parallels here. And what does that make the political party that put him there through vote and voter suppression laws or his MAGA cult, especially the hypocritical evangelicals? All seeds of Satan whether they know it or admit it. They knowingly put this man in power for questionable reasons along with some powerful conservative/libertarian stink tanks like the Heritage Foundation that have written the path for him to follow politically. How much more obvious does it have to be?

The thing that did it for me was that it was predicted that this 8th Antichrist was supposed to suffer a wound to the head which would identify him as such. I knew right away when that assassination attempt in PA happened on his campaign trail that he would win the election and we had our official Antichrist.

Thank you for seeing the connection between Trump and the devil. I never thought he was the will of God. Our business is to make people want to be Christian because of the Bible, not because we say we have God and they have to convert or else. Jesus forgives sins if we repent, not because some guy wants to enforce his interpretation of God upon us.

“By his works you shall know him” speaks volumes. Trump fits all of the descriptions of the Anti-Christ and he has deceived even the faithful. My heart aches for the Christians who have been
mislead by this Charlatan. I don’t think any of us mortals know “the time when Christ shall appear”
but Trump is certainly hastening the Second coming. He fits the description in biblical terms, and his
appearance on the World scene today is Prophetic.

  • Here are some interesting facts. Jesus said as in the days of Noah so shall it be when the Son of Man returns. Noah was given 120 years to build the ark and the world the same to repent.

The outcome of WW1 enabled more Jews to return to the land as the fall of the Ottoman empire (something not imagined possible) removed the Muslim power preventing them.

The outcome of WW2 was the nation of Israel after almost 2000 years.

The outcome of WW3 will be the return of their Messiah (Jesus Christ, the Son of God) to rescue them from complete destruction and establish His 1000 year reign from Jerusalem fulfilling 100’s of prophecies and promises.

From the beginning of WW1 to 2034 is 120 years.

The Son of God ascended to His Fathers side in 33 AD (give or take a few months or years due to what calendar, system and errors you go with).

Most all the nations of the world are either building their military for the coming WW or working out who they think will win so to align with them. It appears unstoppable. If there were another 50 years of history most likely it would be recorded that Russia invading Ukraine and the proxy war of Iran on Oct 7th against Israel was the real beginning. This war will not be like any other. It will be on a Book of Revelation biblical level. Nuclear, bio, chemical, nano tech, drone tech, laser, microwave, power grid destruction causing massive deaths through starvation, exposure and the breaking down of civil order and function. It’s easy to imagine how a “antichrist” figure will rise out of this chaos and many will follow him just as the Germans did Hitler. Pray to understand which nation is Babylon and it’s city’s end in pillars of fire and smoke (nuclear?).

Time is short. The Good News of the Kingdom will be preached to all the nations (people groups) of the earth and then the end will come.
