Terms & Conditions

Welcome to our Bible Study website. We strive to offer a welcoming environment for thoughtful exploration of Scripture, theological reflection, and respectful discussion. To maintain a space that honors the spirit of Christian fellowship, we ask all visitors to abide by the following comment policy.

1. Purpose of the Comment Section

Our comment section is designed to foster meaningful conversations about the Bible and related faith topics. We welcome honest questions, insights, and respectful disagreements that help everyone grow in understanding.

2. Community Principles

  1. Respect – Interact with empathy, showing consideration for others’ viewpoints, experiences, and backgrounds.
  2. Integrity – Share honest thoughts; avoid misleading claims, distortions, or intentional misrepresentations.
  3. Constructive Dialogue – Stay on-topic, focus on ideas rather than individuals, and aim to build each other up.

3. Acceptable Content

  • Biblically-Themed Discussions: Feel free to share observations, interpretations, or personal reflections on Scripture.
  • Edifying Conversations: We encourage well-reasoned arguments, friendly debate, and mutual encouragement rooted in mutual respect.
  • Questions & Clarifications: Genuine curiosity or requests for additional information are welcome, as they often spark deeper study and reflection.
  • On Topic: Keep comments focused on the subject at hand, ensuring they contribute meaningfully to the ongoing discussion.

4. Prohibited Content and Behaviours

  1. Name-Calling & Personal Attacks
    • Insults, slurs, derogatory labels, or any form of belittling language are not permitted.
    • Critique ideas, not individuals.
  2. Hostile, Inflammatory, or Hateful Speech
    • Any comment that promotes hatred or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability is strictly prohibited.
    • Comments that are needlessly derisive or designed to provoke or escalate conflict (“flaming”) are not allowed.
    • Communication should aim to invite dialogue, not dominate it. Language that scolds, pressures, or intimidates will be subject to review.
  3. Whataboutism & Baseless Attacks
    • Deflecting legitimate points with unrelated “what about…” arguments disrupts constructive discussion and will be moderated.
    • Unsubstantiated accusations or claims intended to demean other commenters or communities are not permitted.
  4. Misinformation & False Claims
    • Deliberately posting misleading or demonstrably false information—whether about Scripture, history, doctrine, or another commenter—is not permitted.
    • Assertions presented as fact should be supported with reliable sources; unverified rumours or debunked claims may be removed.
    • Promotion of conspiracy-style narratives that undermine respectful scholarship may be removed.
  5. Disruptive Formatting & Tone
    • Comments that are excessively long or involve pasting large blocks of text that overwhelm the discussion may be shortened or removed.
    • Excessive use of ALL CAPS, repeated punctuation (!!!, ???), or similar emphatic styling may trigger moderation.
  6. Harassment or Bullying
    • Targeting an individual or group with repeated negative remarks, threats, or intentional shaming is unacceptable.
  7. Spam and Promotions
    • Off-topic advertisements, solicitation, political promotion, or repeated promotion of external products and services will be removed.
    • Limited sharing of relevant resources is allowed if it genuinely contributes to the conversation and is not purely self-promotional.
  8. Profanity or Vulgarity
    • Crude language, profane expressions, or explicit content has no place in our discussions about God’s Word.
  9. Copyrighted Material
    • Mass quotation of copyrighted material beyond fair use is not permitted.
  10. Illegal Content
    • Any post referencing or promoting illegal activities, or containing pirated or stolen content, will be removed.

5. Moderation Process

  • Pre-Approval & Review: All comments may be held for moderation before appearing publicly.
  • Moderator Discretion: Moderators reserve the right to remove or edit comments that violate these terms or do not contribute to the intended purpose of this site.

6. Disclaimer

  • User Responsibility: Comments reflect the personal opinions of individual contributors, not the official stance of the site or its team.
