I presume when you use the word “God,” you mean the god of the ancient Israelites and their descendants today who use the Hebrew Bible.
Who has several historically different names, of which Yahweh and Adonay are the two I am currently aware of.
I am simply asking for my personal academic clarification.

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am (John 8:58). In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made (John 1:1).
