Thank you so much for this. I was rejected for a job yesterday and it really hurt. Me, a holder of 2 Masters' degrees in education, rejected! I did my best but it just wasn't good enough and it left me with a great number of feelings ranging from distress to wanting to retaliate. It brought back feelings of low self esteem and that's when I remembered that nothing happens to us unless God allows it. So, I decided to turn to Him, thinking obviously this job wasn't a part of His plan for my life. So I just called it a day and went to sleep last night. But, here it is, still heavy on my mind this morning; so, I searched the internet for help. My thought was to see who suffered rejection in the Bible. Your article was extremely helpful and reminded me throughout that God is still near to my situation. I feel so much better now and know that I can face tomorrow because of that. Thank you!
